New Chair and Board Member for the SIA

Elizabeth France CBE has begun her new role as the Chair of the Security Industry Authority. Mrs France has extensive experience in the criminal justice sector and is the non-executive Chair of the Office for Legal Complaints. Following an open selection process, Bill Matthews has been re-appointed as the Board member with particular responsibility for representing Scottish interests.


Positive Results In Security Checks Across Nottingham And Derbyshire

Investigators from the Security Industry Authority joined enforcement partners across two counties to conduct simultaneous security checks on Friday 13th December. Checks on door supervisors were carried out across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to ensure they were properly SIA licensed.


Door Supervisor Licensing Checks In Sheffield City Centre

Security Industry Authority investigators joined officers from South Yorkshire police to conduct licensing checks around Sheffield city centre. During this intelligence-led operation, 25 door supervisors were checked across nine venues including bars and clubs. All were found to be working legally as they held valid SIA licences.
